Valon 5015/5019/5030 Accessories

ETH-1 Ethernet Adapter*
The ETH-1 provides a convenient, flexible connection option for providing network connectivity to the Valon 5015, 5019 or 5030. The ETH-1 Ethernet Adapter kit includes a standard RJ-45 Ethernet jack. An 8 inch, 8-conductor Hirose cable is also included which plugs into the 5015/5019/5030 Ethernet port. The ETH-1 is intended to allow the user to locate and mount the 5015/5019/5030 synthesizer where it is best for RF cabling, etc., while providing flexibility for the location of the ETH-1 Ethernet jack.


The ETH-1 can also be used as a 12 volt Power Over Ethernet (POE) extractor which can provide a convenient powering alternative for the 5015/5019/5030 when a local power source is not available or desirable. Only use 12Vdc PoE Injectors or use our recommended ETH-2 PoE 12V Injector Kit (see below). 12V PoE injectors are commonly available for security networks at low cost.

ETH-2 PoE 12V Injector
The ETH-2 is a 12 volt 12W power injector for use with the ETH-1 Ethernet adapter and power extractor. AC input is 100VAC to 240VAC 50Hz/60Hz.
Power Plug for North America only.

PS6V-1 Power Supply Kit (see PS6V-2 below for Valon 5030)
Don't have a power supply for your Valon product?  
Don't want to tie up a bench supply?  
 
This compact 6Vdc, 1Amp power supply is just the solution for conveniently powering any Valon Technology product including our 3010a, 4002, 5009a, 5015 and our 5019.  The kit includes a power supply module and a 2.1mm power jack to screw-terminal adapter.  
 
Just connect your 2-pin Hirose dc power cable pig-tails (supplied with each of our Valon RF products) to the screw terminals.  You will need a small screw driver and maybe a wire stripper.
Power supply:
100~240Vac 50/60Hz input.  5.9Vdc @ 1.25A max.  2.1mm power plug -  North America only.
 
Power Jack adapter:
2.1mm power jack to screw-clamping yokes. Can accept wire gauge 12-30  so you know the #24 Valon cable will fit. Terminal spacing is 0.200".

PS6V-2 Power Supply Kit for Valon 5030

This compact 6Vdc, 2Amp power supply is just the solution for conveniently powering the Valon Technology 5030.  The kit includes a power supply module and a 2.1mm power jack to screw-terminal adapter.  

Just connect your 2-pin Hirose dc power cable pig-tails (supplied with each of our Valon RF products) to the screw terminals.  You will need a small screw driver and maybe a wire stripper.

TTL5000 Serial Cable Assembly

When USB communication is not appropriate or desired, you can connect directly to the Valon 5015, 5019 or 5030 asynchronous 3.3V TTL serial port using this two-wire plus ground pig-tail cable assembly.  See Operations Manual for details on connecting to the User Port.

LMS-2 List Mode Selector Switch and Cable Assembly

LMS-2 Wire colors may vary.
The Valon 5015, 5019 and 5030 List Mode preset frequencies are selected using the 5015/5019/5030 USER PORT and any 5-bit switch contact closure.  The 5015/5019/5030 USER port has a weak pull-up current of 80ua to 3.3V.  Alternatively, 3.3V TTL digital logic signals may also be used to control the List Mode at the USER PORT .
 
You can make your own interface to these control lines using the information provided in the 5015/5019 and 5030 Operations Manuals or you can purchase our List Mode Selector Switch and Cable assembly shown below.  S1 is LSB, S5 is MSB.
 
The selector switch mounts with four 3/8" #4-40 standoffs and measures 1.5"x 1.10".  The four 0.125" mounting holes are all 0.120" from any adjacent board edge. The supplied cable is 12" long.
